An Unlikely Love Story

 In a Russian zoo, a Siberian tiger named Amur was living a happy life where everything was taken care of. He had a nice enclosure to sleep in and live animals were delivered to him whenever he needed to eat. Then one day a billy goat named Timur came into Amur’s enclosure but he didn't show any fear.  No one taught the goat that he should be afraid of tigers. Then something shocking happened. The Tiger did not try to eat the goat. This is like a miracle because tigers eat goats, not become friends with them. The people at the zoo realized that the friendship was serious when the tiger would not touch the goat after three days together.

 Timur sleeps inside the shelter where Amur used to sleep but now, the Tiger spends the night on the roof of the shelter. In the morning, Amur and Timur meet and walk around the big enclosure. Usually, the Tiger walks ahead of the goat who follows behind. Over time, they have even begun playing together and chasing each other. One day, Timur challenged Amur by poking him with his horns. The tiger accepted the goat’s challenge and pushed his forehead against Timur’s horns, and kept it there for five seconds without starting a fight with each other. After they played for this short time together, Amur went back up the hill to sit in the sun. The Tiger has also tried to teach the goat how to catch prey. Amur no longer eats live goats for dinner, he is now fed live rabbits because he has a new respect for goats.

 Society can learn a lot about life and how to deal with each other by looking at this story of the unlikely friendship. The tiger and the goat are totally different from each other. They don't look the same and they don't have the same habits or lifestyle. This is a lot like our world is. There will always be someone different from you and that could seem scary at first, but it is important to look past the unknown and see that true friendships can be made and barriers crossed in the most unlikely situations. We can thank Amur and Timur for this life lesson.

 It all seemed like a fairytale. Two young talented and athletic people came together to become a powerful romantic couple. Rory McIlroy and Caroline Wozniacki were one of sports most high profile couples, but their dreams have been broken and now there is nothing but sadness between them. Rory McIlroy is a golf star that is a two time major winner from Northern Ireland.  Caroline Wozniacki is the former world number one golf champion from Denmark. Their love began when they met at a boxing match and they immediately felt the spark between them.

 From there their love only got bigger. They stayed together for three long years and were madly in love. The public liked to watch them and always had questions about what was going on in their lives and relationship. The couple went under the microscope during times when their career was not as good and people would say that they were having problems in their relationship and that was why their performance was not as excellent as it had been in the past. This may have caused pressure on their relationship that was just too much to take.

 In a romantic way McIlroy proposed to Wozniacki on New Year's Eve when everyone was celebrating. Wozniacki immediately said yes and she was so happy. She went on twitter and announced her engagement to McIlroy and happily told her friends and family that she planned to get married soon. It all looked like the perfect couple with the perfect engagement on their way to the perfect happiness of being husband-and-wife.

 But this was not the truth. McIlroy had serious doubts about whether or not it was the right thing to do to get married. It was when the invitations were being sent out to all of their many guests to attend the expensive wedding that McIlroy decided it was all too much. He called off the wedding.

 This has left Wozniacki heartbroken. Both people in the couple have said that it is a difficult time for them and they want to focus on their career instead of their pain. Each one is trying to move forward in their own way. McIlroy wishes only the best for Wozniacki and he is thankful for all of the lovely memories they have made together. Even though it is embarrassing for Wozniacki, she is trying to move on with her life.
